Hazrat Suleman (AS) (also known as Solomon) and Magic or Sorcery:

Its Jews sayings that the reason to give importance to sorcery is because sorcery is the one of the teachings of Hazrat Suleman (AS) which is nothing but a blame on the Holy Prophet (AS). They claim that Hazrat Suleman (AS) was the teacher of sorcery and it is only the reason they respect sorcery.

And followed what the evil ones had fabricated about the Kingdom of Solomon instead. Not that Solomon himself was a disbeliever; it was the evil ones who were disbelievers. They taught people witchcraft and what was revealed in Babylon to the two angels Harut and Marut. Yet these two never taught anyone without first warning him, ‘We are sent only to tempt- do not disbelieve.’ From these two, they learned what can cause discord between man and wife, although they harm no one with it except by God’s leave. They learned what harmed them, not what benefited them, knowing full well that whoever gained [this knowledge] would lose any share in the Hereafter. Evil indeed is the [price] for which they sold their souls, if only they knew. (Sorah Al Baqara verse 102)

According to interpreters of Quran it’s a very high position so here we would like to point out a few things.

Jews blame Hazrat Suleman (AS) that Hazrat Suleman (AS) taught our ancestors about the sorcery and we learned it from our ancestors. And they have spread many fake quotes regarding this. In the following verse ALLAH (SWT) has cleaned this blame on Hazrat Suleman (AS)
(وَمَا کَفَرَ سُلَیْمَانُ وَلٰکِنَّ الشَّیَاطِیْنَ کَفَرُوْا)۔)

ALLAH (SWT) sent two angels to stop Jews from misuse of sorcery. They went in Babul and asked people not to use sorcery in wrong ways and use it for good and wellness of the human kind. They also told people about Good names of ALLAH and Holy Scriptures and how to use them to solve their issues. But Jews use everything in wrong way whatever they taught from these two angels. All Islamic are on same page that learning of sorcery is forbidden in Islam and whoever learns or teaches sorcery has nothing to do with Islam. And it’s totally considered as Haraam.

Jews have spread a superstitious tale regarding them that they were sent by ALLAH (SWT) on earth for punishment or to be checked. Here they fall in love with a woman named Zohra and they asked her to love them in return. But asked for three things from them, Drink wine, kill someone and bow in front of idols. Both angels did all the things. When they were in state of love she asked them how they go to heaven then they told her that they use “Ism e Azam” (Greater Name or Sentence) and they  also taught her, she went to heaven after reading that and angels were sent to a well as captives. Later whichever went to them and ask them to teach sorcery first of all angels tell them that don’t learn this because it is against the will of ALLAH (SWT) and if that man still insist they teach that person sorcery.

Then angels asked that person that did he saw something. The persons said that I saw a man with very beautiful face riding a horse. The angels said that now you are an infidel and you have nothing to do with the faith now you are a sorcerer. Both angels will live in that well till judgment day.
